Sugar and Pussy

Pussy is an orange tabby cat of a certain age and considerable experience. She has lived fully, loved strategically, and arrived at exactly who she was always meant to be — tiara and all.

She is wise without being preachy, honest without being cruel, and funny without trying. She has seen things. She has done things. Some of those things she will tell you about. Others she will take to her grave.

She reads people the way other folks read menus — quickly, accurately, and with a pretty good sense of what's going to disappoint her.

She is unbothered. She is undefeated. She is home on that couch.

And she has absolutely no plans to move.

Sugar is a miniature schnauzer with a big heart, an even bigger personality, and absolutely no volume control. She loves everyone she meets, finds joy in everything she encounters, and approaches every single day like it might be the best one yet. She sings every song like she wrote it, celebrates every holiday like it's her last, and has never once met a stranger.

Sugar is loyal, enthusiastic, and genuinely believes the world is a wonderful place — which it mostly is, though Pussy would like a word about that.

She lives for music, good food, her friends, and the occasional margarita. She is the heart of this page and she knows it.
